So ask yourself just when is the last time you thought about what love means to you or the last time you discussed it as a subject with anyone? What do you think love is? How is it that love is an inborn component of both human beings and animals and that even plants are known to thrive with the application of loving intent?
The answer to these questions will most likely depend on your own experience of love
as it is commonly defined – love of family and friends, romantic love, love as an
expression of deep feelings. People use the word both casually and with intensity;
with great hope; with great bitterness. The medical community uses it to explain
human psychology; scientists map its chemistry; it is exploited to sell products.
These aspects of love are part of our emotional make-
However, the energy of love is something quite different and little understood by the majority. It is, quite literally, the force that binds. It is known and felt by every single one of the 6.5 billion human beings on this planet. To make the point, try to imagine the world without love in it. It’s like trying to picture yourself dead. It’s impossible. What is little understood is that it is human emotion and thought acting in tandem that provides the conduit for this energy, which is the greatest power in the universe.
The Greek root of the word dynamic means power and strength. It pertains to energy or power; to motion causing change. It is also defined as the controlling force of any kind and the study of that force. One aspect of Chaos Theory, named the Butterfly Effect, demonstrates mathematically that one very small change in a large system can, over time, put into effect a large change in the whole system. The example most often used is that the motion of a butterfly’s wing can eventually change the weather in another part of the world. These two definitions aptly describe the basis of Love’s Dynamic in that love of itself is a useable power that can effect large changes from small, personal changes made through conscious choice.
To visualize this concept more clearly, imagine a place where the principles of love are integrated into the fabric of the community. Love is a subject taught at home and in the schools with the same emphasis and attention to detail as reading and writing. By the time the children in the community become adults and enter the workforce it is quite natural for them to make decisions based on love. Natural selection dictates that a few of the children will move into positions of leadership where decisions of the few affect the many. Because of their early training these leaders take for granted that corporate and government policy should be based on the elements of love and understand that such policies are not a detriment to success.
It takes only a little more imagination to see how this one community could influence a world. Generation follows generation with each being taught from infancy the principles of love and then they take the seeds of what they know and plant them in other parts of the world. The fruit born of those seeds is a radically different world then what we know today.
